A place for every one.

Welcome to 4B Autumn Term 2017!

Welcome to 4B!  The children have made an excellent start to the new academic year!
During the Autumn term children will be learning all about ‘The Romans’ and learn about the challenges and achievements of the Romans in Britain.

As part of literacy we will be reading a narrative ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’ by C.S Lewis. The children will have the opportunity to write their own fantasy story based around our class text. We will also be reading and writing our own imagery poems.

Later this term, children will also be learning about ‘India’, and comparing it to the UK
For science, we will be learning about ‘Human Nutrition’ and discussing the digestive system in detail. The children will also be learning about the different types of teeth in humans and their functions

PE for 4B is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, please ensure your child brings their kit which will remain in school and be sent home at the end of each half term. Every week, children will be taking a book from the class library, please encourage your child to read at least 30 minutes every day!

English and Maths homework will be sent home every Wednesday’s to be bought back the following Wednesday. Please help and support your child where necessary in order for them to complete it in their homework books and return it on time.
We hope this is an enjoyable year for you all.
